Dissolution OF Marriage
Divorce and dissolution are virtually the same thing in New Mexico, but
in severe economic times, such as we suffer today, sometimes a legal
separation may turn out to be a reasonable alternative in order to
protect a person’s healthcare coverage or resolve other issues when
assets are severely limited. Our office has handled nearly 400
divorces, and experience is important with efforts to resolve property,
debt, and distribution of assets issues. Your property and debts
must by law be fairly distributed, and the many factors include income
disparity, debt structure, retirement accounts, and separate property.
Every year we have several new cases that turn out to be unresolved
issues that haunt a person, previously divorced, because they have gone
to the cheapest attorney they could find or even tried to do the
documents themselves. Unresolved issues return to haunt them,
including undisclosed debts, lack of health insurance, or vague child
custody terms. Get it done right the first time.

Family Law
Few aspects of life prove more
gut-wrenching and painful than divorce or dissolution of
marriage. At jeopardy
is a person's feeling of self-worth, opportunity. These risks
also
apply, not just the husband and wife, but also to children, close
relatives, and friends. You have committed your time
and your
financial future to your marriage and you will benefit
greatly from having a clear-thinking, experienced attorney protecting
your interests at each of the many critical stages.
Our office works individually with each client to balance these
concerns, present your case effectively, discover the critical
information your opponent may have, and better protect your
future. |

| Our office has
represented over 350 clients in matters of divorce,
child custody, child support, spousal support (alimony), and property
division. The decision regarding whom will represent your interests,
financial future, and your children's future, is one of the most
important you will ever make. Consider not just estimates of cost
but also your comfort level with your legal representative. It is
always difficult to estimate legal expenses at the beginning of a case,
since so much of the potential cost depends on the willingness of the
participants to work together and compromise. If it becomes
impossible to resolve differences cordially, Mr. Samore is very
experienced in presenting clients' cases to the judge at trial.
Remember, in New Mexico and all states, a divorce or child custody case
is presented only to a judge, not to a jury. |
